The LPLDD-1,5A-35V-TP-H Laser Diode Driver is a versatile and high-performance solution designed to work with input voltages ranging from 7.5V to 35V, including 12V and 24V. This advanced laser diode driver is a new iteration of our product line, now equipped with thermal protection to ensure optimal operation and safeguard the laser diode against overheating. With a maximum current capacity of up to 1.5A, the driver can modulate the current flowing through the diode at frequencies up to 100 kHz.
The driver is compatible with laser diodes at wavelengths such as 405 nm, 445 nm, 520 nm, 638 nm, 650 nm, 808 nm, and 980 nm, covering a wide range of options.
Additionally, this driver offers flexible modulation options, allowing the user to select between TTL, analog, or combined signal modulation modes.
The -H version of this driver comes with an additional heatsink, facilitating easier installation and enhanced cooling, further contributing to the longevity and stability of the driver during operation.

Power Supply
When powering both the laser diode and the driver from a single power supply in the range of 7.5 - 35V DC, the LD VCC jumper should be connected.
For powering a diode with low voltage (e.g., 3V), use two power supplies and disconnect the VLD jumper. The driver must be powered with voltage in the range of 7.5 - 35V DC, and the laser diode must be connected to a power supply in the range of 3.3V - 35V DC.
Modulation Inputs
The modulation input accepts 0-5V signals. Analog modulation enables proportional output power: using 2.5V on the ANG input gives 50% output power; 4V provides 80% power, and so on.
The toggling input supports PWM, meaning a duty cycle of 50% results in 50% output power. The modulation input is protected by a 5V1 Zener diode, but ensure modulation voltage does not exceed 5V.
Thermal Protection
The driver includes a thermal protection system that prevents laser diode overheating. It is designed to work with an NTC 10kΩ, β=3950 thermistor. The temperature threshold can be adjusted between 10°C and 50°C using a trimmer.

- 6W silicon diode (at 5A)
- Diode soldered directly to the driver
- 4V input voltage (10kHz @ 5% duty cycle)
