Laser Weeding Systems
Our Mission
Our mission is to provide ongoing collaboration and support for companies developing solutions for laser-based weed control in agricultural fields. As a company specializing in high-power diode lasers since 2014, we offer extensive knowledge and experience in building reliable laser modules tailored to demanding field applications.
Importantly, we do not intend to develop our own weed detection methods or AI algorithms. Instead, we leave this area fully open to our partners, while providing them with state-of-the-art laser hardware. This approach ensures that our partners can freely focus on their core technologies while relying on us for the laser source.
We are able to work with blue laser modules as well as lasers operating in the visible and near-infrared spectrum. Our goal is to be an active, long-term partner committed to the success of companies building laser weeding machines. We support them across the entire spectrum of laser integration — from custom laser module design, electrical systems, optics, and thermal management, to assistance with certification processes, optical calculations, and laser safety compliance.
As a company fully funded by product sales and without external investors, we have invested significant internal resources into the development of laser weeding technologies. We are committed to ensuring that this effort delivers value not only for us, but also for our partners who choose to adopt our solutions.

Our laser weeding systems can be customized in nearly every aspect — from power and power density, to wavelength, scanning method, supply voltage, signals, and safety features. We can also design and deliver accessories and equipment related to laser sources.
Field-Proven Performance in Real Agricultural Conditions
The footage shown in the movie presents a real-time test using a 120W laser source, while we are already offering optical sources with power levels up to 320W. The results clearly demonstrate that the weeds are being scorched, and research confirms that with the right dose of radiation, a herbicidal effect can be achieved, effectively destroying the weeds. The system presented in the movie is killing 5,5 weeds per second with a burning method. This leads to a conclusion that 320W systems should reach ~15 weeds/shots per second with a burning effect so even 20-40 shots/weed per second depending on the light dose.
Our laser sources are already in use by several companies worldwide, with complete machines delivered to customers following demonstrations and technology approval prior to purchase. Each partner has played a key role in validating and refining our systems through real-world applications. We continue to work closely with them to develop new generations of laser modules.
Our products are improved with every production batch. When deployed in real field conditions, they are subjected to rigorous environmental challenges — humidity, temperature fluctuations, and both extreme heat and cold. This ensures our systems are robust, reliable, and ready for demanding agricultural use.
The images above show weeds scorched using the Opt Lasers 120W laser weeding system.
In practical applications, however, a much lower light dose is sufficient, as the weeds don’t need to be burned - only exposed to an excess of blue light.
Why Work with Us? Strengths and Benefits
Partnership & Business Cooperation
- We invest our resources into your success, as it directly impacts the success of your final product and also our future.
- We can sign a partnership agreement where we lower the initial cost in exchange for a long-term collaboration and exclusivity. We believe our pricing will be the most competitive over time and this gives us confidence to develop custom solutions for you.
- We can offer two-way exclusivity for the country of the machine manufacturer, securing your access to a stable blue laser supply.
- If any problems occur with your machine, we will support you — even if the issue is not related to the laser.
- As a medium size, agile team, we are highly flexible and can customize our products, fully understanding customer needs — not just offering stock laser units.
- As one of the first companies in the world working on blue laser weeding solutions, we have started to gain recognition online. We are continuously receiving inquiries from farmers about available options, and we actively connect real customers with our partners.
Engineering Support in Machine Development
- We assist with the selection of optics, additional parts, beam-shaping components, and advise on trade-offs between different design choices.
- We help with sourcing of stock parts such as galvo scanners, adding only a margin to the resale price as we do not produce them ourselves.
- We support you in areas like optics, electronics, physics, thermal management, and more during machine development.
- We provide support in optical calculations involving power, power density, beam divergence, and other critical parameters.
- We advise on safety materials and practices, helping to significantly reduce costs by using mass-produced components while still meeting required safety standards.
Experience & Field-Proven Knowledge
- We have experience with real-world field testing and understand the challenges, having started developing laser weeding systems in 2019.
- We have full control over our laser electronics, allowing us to customize communication protocols, signal interfaces, safety features, and more.
- We are aware of common field challenges such as dust, moisture, and fast temperature changes during daily laser operations — and we incorporate solutions into our design accordingly.
- We have focused on blue galvo laser systems for various applications, gaining deep expertise in beam shaping and long-distance focusing.
- We design laser diode drivers and temperature controllers from the beginnings in 2014.
- With over 10 years of experience producing laboratory-grade lasers, we apply best practices and advanced mechanical design using proper aluminum alloys — critical for high-power blue lasers.
Logistics, US and European Presence
- Being based in Europe allows us to ensure quick response times, fast shipping, and local support — which is crucial for machine builders operating in the region. We are also present in the US market from the beginning in 2014.
