The unit’s driver is integrated directly into the laser head. This greatly increases the maximum modulation frequency and allows longer cables to be used. The focus distance can be quickly set or changed via the lens adjuster accessory (sold separately). The integrated driver is fully covered to protect it from metal chips in a machine shop environment.


Control Inputs

The laser head has one control. Input #1 accepts 0 - 5V for analog power modulation. Note: Laser head must be connected to an individual power supply unit. CNC power supply unit may damage the laser head.

Important: The laser head should be powered from a dedicated high-quality power supply without anything else connected. Please note: connecting the laser head to the same power supply unit as a CNC machine or any other high-impedance equipment such as stepper motors is not recommended. Doing so may cause extreme instability to the supply voltage and cause damage to the laser head. It also voids any warranty.

Small Size, Large Heat Sink

This compact 70mm (2.75”) laser head requires no additional cooling. The body functions as both a heat sink and guide to direct air from the fan to remove smoke.



- Automatic shutoff in the rare event that the unit should overheat, maintaining the laser’s lifetime.

- A Zener diode helps prevent a small transient from damaging the analog input.

- A Schottky diode protects the laser diode from reverse voltage and ESD damage.

Accessory for Smoke

The laser head allows engraving or cutting of materials such as wood, paper, leather, cardboard and some metals. For materials that generate smoke, we offer an optional nozzle that is attachable to the front of the unit via magnets built into the laser head (see accessories). Additionally, we offer a version of the product with a higher power fan for applications where more smoke is produced.



For 3D printer or CNC manufacturers and distributors and customers placing bulk orders, the PLH3D-series can be customized to all customers' needs. Customers' logos and other additional features can be added.


Alternative functionality

Besides the standard functionality, the small beam spot allows the possibility of using this product for rapid PCB prototyping. This is done by illuminating the copper layer of plates after a photosensitive paste is applied.
