The high absorption of blue laser light for numerous materials enables fast cutting without damaging protection layers used in textile cutting. Blue laser cutting and engraving are suitable for diverse types of textiles including Cordura™, Alcantara, felt, 1080 denier nylon, jeans, short-staple fiber cotton, wool, tartan, fleece, white polyester, softshell, silk, lace and linen. High power density enables laser cutting textiles with carbon-reinforced yarn and nylon-reinforced yarn as well as white textiles. Many robust materials used in the production of tents, kites, and bags can be cut at 60 mm/s.

Unlike infrared light, blue light is more easily absorbed by numerous industrial materials. This directly translates to several advantages including reduced power consumption and more compact heat sinking.


Integrated Control Electronics

In many laser heads that have the diode connected to the diode’s driver via a long cable and the coupling is done with connectors. Long wires are characterized by substantial inductive effects. This results in delays of the diode’s response in relation to the diode’s driver and as extension it also results in blurred lines. Connectors are more prone to disconnections than coupling done via direct soldering. Disconnecting during laser processing can damage the laser head.

I'm amazed!

I am a true beginner with lasers. Opt Lasers have made this very easy to learn. This PLH3d Laser was easy to install, and the results it produces surprised me. Very crisp clean lines. Would recommend.

The Best CNC Laser Upgrade out there.

I have had this laser add-on for the X-Carve on my machine for just over a year and I absolutely love it. The build quality is amazing. All of the parts are polished aluminum and they have a very professional look and feel to them. The magnetic docking station is a huge plus for this device. It allows you to just pull the laser head off of the machine when you want to use the CNC router. This prevents dust and vibration from reaching the laser head. Installation was easy and this thing just works! I have had no issues with it at all. As of the time of this review, I have engraved mostly onto wood but have also done some cutting of cardboard, leather and thin wood.

AMAZING PRODUCT!!!

This kit by Opt Lasers is hands down in a league of their own. The manufacturers give you more than what is required to get the job done. They go above and beyond to provide excellent customer service during the purchasing process. I also love the fact that I am able to change lenses which they provided two in my kit. I am going to be purchasing their U Spot lens soon. One additional mention is the ability to add air assist to the laser which other well know lasers can not do. I love my opt lasers kit and will be getting more from them in the future for another X-Carve or any other machines I may obtain.
