About PLH3D-XT-Series Engraving Laser Heads
PLH3D-XT-Series engraving laser heads were created as a series of specialized laser heads for engraving with extremely high resolution and cutting thing materials with ultra-thin line. PLH3D-XT-Series engraving laser heads are build based on PLH3D-6W-Series engraving laser heads.
All advantages of PLH3D-6W-Series are inherited by PLH3D-XT-Series laser heads: versatility, compact dimensions, high-speed driver. Moreover all accessories from PLH3D-6W-Series are compatible with PLH3D-XT-Series.
Microscopic Beam Spot
All of the laser heads from PLH3D-XT-Sereis are distinguished by microscopic beam spot. PLH3D-XT-50 laser heads is achieving beam spot width below 50um and PLH3D-XT-10 engraving laser head is achieving beam spot size under 10um. For comparison typical human red blood cell is 5-10um and diameter of single human hair 50 – 20um. The spot size of PLH3D-10 is so small that it can be compared to length of a typical bacterium which is 1 – 10um.
High Power Density
As known power density is defined how much power is located in certain area. Typically it is specified in kilo wats over cm2 or mm2 (kW/cm2 or kW/mm2). This parameter is one of the most crucial parameter for cutting or engraving different materials. PLH3D-XT-Series laser heads are designed to achieve small beam-spot size the outcome of this proportional increase of the power density. Higher power density reveals new engraving and cutting possibilities. Additionally, engraving and cutting processes are significantly faster comparing to laser heads without anamorphic optics.
|Operation||Feed Rate||Air Flow|
|Engraving||5mm/s (11.8 IPM)||5L/min|
Exceptionally Accurate Metal Engraving
PLH3D-XT-Series engraving laser heads were devised as a series of specialized laser heads for engraving with extremely high resolution and cutting thin materials with ultra-thin lines. Based on our 6W-Series laser heads, XT-Series laser heads inherited all their advantages: versatility, compact dimensions and high-speed driver. The microscopic beam spot allows to make precise and very small size engravings in a wide variety of materials including stainless steel.
Ultra-HD Ceramic Tile Engraving
The 500 DPI capability allows for amazing quality engravings on materials like ceramic tiles. Higher power density reveals new engraving and cutting possibilities. Additionally, engraving and cutting processes are significantly faster comparing to laser heads without anamorphic optics.
|Operation||Thickness||Feed Rate||Air Flow|
|Cutting||1mm (0.0393")||500 mm / min||10-20L/min|
High-End Detailed Engraving & Cutting on Soft Materials
PLH3D-XT-50 laser heads, thanks to the fact that they achieve a spot width of less than 50um, also allow cutting materials with care for a thin even cut line. For comparison, a typical human red blood cell is 5-10um in size, and the diameter of a single human hair is 50-20um.
- Powered by Blue Laser Diodes - Unlike infrared light, blue light is more easily absorbed by numerous industrial materials. This directly translates to several advantages including reduced power consumption and more compact heat sinking.
Integrated Control Electronics – In many laser heads that have the diode connected to the diode’s driver via a long cable and the coupling is done with connectors. Long wires are characterized by substantial inductive effects. This results in delays of the diode’s response in relation to the diode’s driver and as extension it also results in blurred lines. Connectors are more prone to disconnections than coupling done via direct soldering. Disconnecting during laser processing can damage the laser head.
Long Lifetime – Opt Lasers laser heads are industry-level grade CNC machine tools. Mechanical parts are made from machined aluminium. Our products are designed with cooling optimization in mind. Investing in the highest quality equipment ensures the best performance and price.
- Lightweight Design Mounts to Nearly any CNC Machine – Featuring a lightweight, Aluminum body that makes the laser weight less than 370 g. As a typical CNC spindle weighs approximately 1.8 kg, CNC machines can operate it effortlessly.
- Simple Integration - Can be set-up on nearly any CNC machine since it accepts both analog and PWM CNC signals.
- Instant-On Power – No warm-up time.
