You can choose whether or not you want the LaserDock laser docking station included in the kit. The Kit Includes Universal PLH3D-CNC Laser Adapter
The fundamental functionality of the PLH3D-CNC Adapter is to “arm” and “disarm” laser head systems. Arming is defined as switching the laser head power supply on. The armed engraving and cutting laser is then capable of producing the laser beam. Vice versa, disarming (turning off the laser power supply) brings the laser head into a safe state in which generating the blue laser beam is simply impossible.
In addition, the PLH3D-CNC adapter provides you with the means to swiftly check your Onefinity CNC laser head system by generating a short laser pulse at its maximum power. This functionality does also verify whether you wired your laser head correctly.
Built-in safety features avoid misuse and unforeseen behavior in case of an emergency situation. The key switch prevents the engraving laser from being armed by minors and other unauthorized people. Arming the laser needs to always be done manually by the user, by simply pressing a button. Special circuitry also prevents laser arming in case of any internal electronics malfunction.
Overall, your laser head is disarmed automatically in case of emergencies such as:
- PSU Failure
- Loss of the Mains Supply
- Breaking or Disconnecting the Laser Head Wire
Once it is disarmed, the laser system stays in a safe state. Subsequent rearming requires the laser system user to press the button.

In many laser heads that have the diode connected to the diode’s driver via a long cable and the coupling is done with connectors. Long wires are characterized by substantial inductive effects.
